From Wikipedia:
Hamburger
A hamburger (or burger), for short, is a sandwich consisting of a cooked patty of ground meat, usually ranging from beef, pork, and/or turkey placed in an open, wheat bun or between two slices of bread. Hamburgers are often served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, or cheese and condiments such as mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. These condiments or excess material are optional for the consumer.
Marketing
During 2006, in the United Kingdom, following a high profile media campaign by the chef Jamie Oliver and a threat of court action from the National Heart Forum, the UK advertising regulator and competition authority, Ofcom, launched a consultation on advertising of foods to children. The Food Standards Agency was one of many respondents. As a result, a ban on advertising during children's television programmes and programmes aimed at school aged children (5-16) was announced. The ban also includes marketing using celebrities, cartoon characters and health or nutrition claims.
“ Many teenage girls, already the most poorly nourished of any group in America, have stopped drinking milk or eating meat in their extreme fear of fat. ” —Frances Berg, MS, Women Afraid to Eat Eating disorders have increased five-fold among children 8-13, one clinic noting that one child as young as five developing anorexia. According to NHANES III, two-thirds of teenage girls who are trying to eat "healthy" by avoiding junk foods are deficient in iron, calcium and other important nutrients.
Clown
Clowns are comical performers, stereotypically characterized by their grotesque appearance: colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, red-nose, etc., who entertain spectators by acting in a hilarious fashion. The types of their acts varies greatly. Although many find clowns to be scary, their intended purpose is to entertain people, especially young children.
Peter Berger writes that "It seems plausible that folly and fools, like religion and magic, meet some deeply rooted needs in human society." For this reason, clowning is often considered an important part of training as a physical performance discipline, partly because tricky subject matter can be dealt with, but also because it requires a high level of risk and play in the performer. This has included the training offered by Jacques Lecoq. An example can be found in the Native American clown societies.
In slang, "being a clown", such as messing things up or blowing an opportunity is generally considered to be a negative thing.
History of Western Clowns
Clowning was developed from a broad tradition and it is difficult to say that it has developed as a singular tradition or a few different ones. Examples of historical clown types have been the pantomimus in ancient Greece, the Lazzi of Commedia dell'Arte, Bouffons, Court Jesters, the French Mime tradition. On top of this there are many non-European clowning traditions (including clown-like figures in Japanese Kabuki theatre) to consider which may or may not have influenced what we now think of when we think of a clown.
Coulrophobia
Coulrophobia is abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns. The term is common, but it does not appear to be used in psychology. It is common among children, but is also sometimes found in teenagers and adults as well. Sufferers sometimes acquire a fear of clowns after having a bad experience with one personally, or seeing a sinister portrayal of one in the media. A design study carried out by the University of Sheffield found that children are frightened by clown-themed décor in hospitals. Coulrophobia can also be said to extend to a fear of covering up one's face with paint—the idea of hiding recognisable features under a layer of facepaint can also unsettle coulrophobia sufferers
Coulrophobia in reality
In July 2006 the Bestival had to withdraw a request to festival goers to come dressed as clowns due to the unexpectedly high rate of coulrophobia among the potential audience
From Uncyclopedia:
Actual information
A clown is the person with most power in a country. Often, clowns are called head of state or presidents, but these terms are somewhat old-fashioned. In the United States of America, the clown is elected by the public for an administration of 4 years.
Clowns typically have a lot of ballss to play with, and they get budgets of billions to spend on such toys, which include nuclear weapons, tanks, bomber planes, satellites, Barbie dolls, plastic surgery, and submarines. They have millions of toy soldiers that they often fight against those of other countries.
Contrary to a belief popular with delicate adults, children do not like clowns, but are frightened by them. Adults who like to dress up as clowns should not include their child in their perverted and annoying little pastime, as the child may then pursue a lifestyle as a politically incorrect and offensive "blackface" performer.
Clowning is considered by some to be an art form. That is WRONG.
There are many subspecies of Clowns, but the most dreaded and feared is the Mime.
The clowns were invented by Julius Caesar. Since then, Leonardo Da Vinci was a clown after finding Caesar's lost diary, and so he started clownology. He started a small clown school in Antarctica, which has remained there since. The largest clown school which opened to boys of all ages under 12 is Michael Jackson's School of Clownology.
Clowns are almost always high on PCP.clowns are also very skilled artisans they lure you in with there laghs and jokes....and then... they will sell you a mosaic in the most horrible way imaginable!
As discovered on episode 113 of Startrek the only viable method to incapacitate a clown is to present a logical paradox in which the clown's gums grow over its teeth and enters a state of septisemia or to boil it alive
McSassination Attempts
Many attempts have been made on Ronald's life, many involving other food corporations. One of the most famous was when arch rival Burger King fired a shotgun filled with 2 pounds of AIDS infected meat into Ronalds face. KFC have also made an attempt to kill Ronald by throwing a knife into his head. On one occasion, a high school student attempted to sabotage Ronald's daily kitten-huffing by replacing the kitten with an irate cat. The most common thing that happens to a McCustomer. The numerous scratches on his face cost Ronald thousands of dollars in face paint to cover. The tyrant and leader of fast food hunted the teen down and forced him to ingest an incredibly fattening (and slightly hypnotic) Ultra-Sized Big Mac. The poor soul died less than five minutes from a heart attack induced by eating everything on the menu at the local McDonald's. Another attempt happened at a Wal*Mart in Boston. A man dressed as a Wal*Mart greeter planned on killing Ronald as he was beginning to cut the ribbon to open a new Wal*Mart McDonald's. The fake greeter pulled out a Glock and screamed out, "Sic semper tyrannis!." Before the murderous greeter could fire, an extremely fat McDonald's fan tackled the armed man with his massive gut. Surrounded by screamng fans Ronald McDonald was quickly escorted by his body guards to his Mclimo. When Wal*Mart security pulled the fat hero off the gunman the sight was horrible. The assassin's body was crushed and dislocated with his Glock in his open palm. The fat man that saved the day was awarded free McDonald's for life. Apparently as two days went past the fat man died of a heart attack inside the new opened McDonalds. Police soon found out the reason why the armed man wanted to kill Ronald Mcdonald. At a McDonald's down the road he wanted breakfast but they quit serving breakfast at 10:30 rather than 11:00 which sparked the gunman's vengful anger toward the franchise.
